How to Prepare Your "Clear Cloud" Green Tea
1. Measure: Use approximately 1 tablespoon of tea, adjusting to your taste preference.
2. Rinse: Briefly rinse the leaves in warm (less than boiling) water for a few seconds, then pour the rinse water into your garden.
3. Steep: Steep the leaves in about 250ml of water at a temperature below 85°C (185°F). Serve and enjoy with friends. Use a teapot or side-handle teapot for best results, but a strainer or cafetiere will also work.
Tea Steeping Tips
1. For stronger tea, use more leaves or increase the steeping time.
2. Re-steep the leaves multiple times for additional servings.
3. Take a moment to enjoy the tea in silence if possible.
4. Drink within a minute or so of steeping. Green tea should ideally have a green-like color; a brown hue often indicates it has been burned or overly oxidized.
